Big super splits on performance test reforms

Australia’s $3.6 trillion superannuation industry has split on the need to overhaul the controversial performance test that funds are subjected to annually, despite pressuring Labor to reform the system last year.
Industry super power players AustralianSuper and HESTA are pushing ahead with calls for a rewrite of the rules, but other funds have started walking back their demands now Treasury is consulting on possible changes.
