As Australia marks the third anniversary of its first case of COVID-19, it finds itself in a “a strange place” in the pandemic landscape, according to Adrian Esterman, professor and chair of biostatics and epidemiology at the University of South Australia.
Adrian Esterman says there is room for cautious optimism but “this virus has foxed us before”.
