Victorians were warned we might close the border, says acting Premier
Victoria's acting premier has defended the snap decision to shut its borders to NSW on New Year's Eve, stating Victorians were first warned about travelling interstate 10 days before the border closed.
"The decision was based on the public health advice we received on New Year's Eve and if you think back, it was just four days ago, we had a rapidly changing situation in NSW," acting Premier Jacinta Allan said.
