Victorian outbreak finely balanced as three new cases recorded

Victoria’s COVID-19 testing commander says the state’s current outbreak is the biggest and fastest-moving seen in Australia for some time, with the government still unable to guarantee the seven-day lockdown will end as scheduled on Thursday.

Three new cases were reported on Tuesday, but no mystery cases were added to the unlinked case recorded in an aged care facility last week. None of the new cases recorded on Tuesday were linked to aged care homes.
