Victoria to release its end of lockdown plan Sunday

A major announcement detailing the road map out of Melbourne’s sixth COVID lockdown has been scheduled for Sunday, with the reopening plan expected to detail a set of phases leading up to Christmas, built around health system capacity, case numbers and vaccination levels.

The announcement comes as the state closes in on its first reopening milestone, 70 per cent first-dose vaccine adult coverage, expected to be reached ahead of schedule this Friday.
