Vaccine rate needs to quadruple to reach herd immunity by Christmas

Australia will have to quadruple its daily coronavirus vaccination rate to achieve herd immunity by Christmas, new analysis shows.
The report comes as people aged over 50 were able to access the vaccine from Monday under stage 2A of the national rollout, a result of the federal government’s efforts to speed up vaccinations.
