Trump crackdown forces academics to cancel US trips

Academics are cancelling plans to travel to the US and scrubbing their social media accounts amid growing reports of foreign students and staff being sent home after interrogation by immigration officials.

Academics in areas as broad as education, history, law, healthcare, and climate change have changed plans to travel to the US, where major conferences are often held, or are rethinking their schedules.
