Surge in enrolments not so ‘job ready’

A surge in enrolments is unlikely to be due to government legislation but a result of other factors including one-off funding for 12,000 places and demand for short courses.
Last week Education Minister Alan Tudge said data from 25 universities showed students were flocking to courses that had benefited from tuition fee reductions under the government’s Job-ready Graduates legislation late last year.
