Return of travel risks creating a bad summer flu season

To avoid an early outbreak of the flu, an editorial in the Medical Journal of Australia has suggested all returning travellers should be required to be vaccinated against influenza before travel.

Those leaving Australia for the northern winter should ensure they have had this year’s influenza jab, while those stuck abroad should have the latest jab before returning.
