High teacher dropout rates a myth: study

Teachers are less dissatisfied with their careers than widely thought and the rate at which they leave the profession is lower than almost all other occupation groups, a new study has found.

In another surprise finding, teachers in private schools – especially the wealthiest – are more likely to leave the profession than their public sector counterparts.
