The one household chore to help keep safe from microplastics

Concern about pollution inside the human body has been heightened by the discovery of microscopic plastic particles circulating in human blood, but experts say Australian households can do simple things to reduce exposure to these particles.

Although microplastics have previously been found in human lungs and faeces, Dutch researchers have detected them in blood for the first time. A study published earlier this week found particles circulating in 17 out of 22 healthy volunteers.
