Cholesterol jab could transform heart disease treatment

London | British plans to use a “game-changing” drug to lower cholesterol have been hailed by UK Health Secretary Sajid Javid as “a huge step forward in tackling the scourge of heart disease”.
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence this week said twice-yearly injections of the drug inclisiran should first be targeted at people who have already had a heart attack or stroke.
