CCTV and sleepover bans: universities clamp down on protests
Universities under intense pressure to stamp out antisemitism on their campuses have rewritten their rule books to prevent a repeat of pro-Palestinian encampments and activist outsiders fuelling protests on their grounds.
They have also increased CCTV coverage, boosted on-campus security personnel and introduced stricter rules around unacceptable behaviour, disruption, occupation and graffiti, according to public statements and responses to questions from The Australian Financial Review.
