NSW axes quarantine but most Australians still stuck

NSW has freed fully vaccinated citizens to travel internationally for business and pleasure without having to quarantine, but much of the rest of the country remains stuck as premiers keep borders closed amid lagging vaccination rates.

Scott Morrison ruled out any immediate plans for tourists or overseas students arriving before vaccination rates increase around the country, tempering the NSW announcement that quarantine for vaccinated travellers arriving in Sydney would end from November 1.
