Aussies told to sober up as consumption guidelines slashed

Australia’s chief scientific body has recommended all adults drop their alcohol consumption from 14 to 10 standard drinks a week.

“We’re not telling Australians how much to drink. We’re providing advice for people who want to enjoy a glass of wine knowing they're not taking significant health risks,” says Professor Anne Kelso, CEO of the National Health and Medical Research Council.
