The ‘secrecy bug’ in foreign investment deals
Approvals of foreign takeovers of local companies often take place in the dark, but a Senate report has shed light on the problem and calls for reform.

The report, “Greenfields, cash cows and the regulation of foreign investment in Australia,” is littered with evidence that the public is too often kept in the dark about foreign investment decisions.
