Kamala Harris hits Donald Trump where it hurts
Kamala Harris and the Democrats will expect a polling bump after she hit Donald Trump hard and he failed to land many blows. But will that be enough?
Jennifer HewettColumnistDonald Trump certainly won’t forgive or forget his first personal encounter with Kamala Harris. In many ways, this presidential debate was the reverse of the performance that imploded Joe Biden’s campaign. It was Trump who so often looked ridiculous.
That doesn’t mean he didn’t score regular hits on issues that remain major Democrat weaknesses – the US economy and the border. But Trump pandered to his own personal weaknesses in repeatedly making nonsensical exaggerations.
