Cybersecurity is a team game Australia can’t afford to lose

Business will still have to do the heavy lifting on cyber resilience, and government must think carefully about how it steps in without creating the wrong impression.

Since its election victory nine months ago, the Albanese government has been making the right noises about cybersecurity.

Appointing a dedicated minister and elevating cybersecurity into cabinet was an election pledge that proved to be remarkably prescient, given the deluge of data breaches that unfolded in Australia late last year.
