Auditor-General closer to decision on Paladin contract review

Auditor-General Grant Hehir will decide within the next few weeks whether to review $423 million worth of government contracts awarded to little-known company Paladin on Manus Island after a closed tender.

The Auditor-General has also been asked to review an $82 million contract awarded to politically connected Papua New Guinean company NKW Holdings and look into why a building project on Manus Island was abruptly cancelled, costing taxpayers up to $9 million.
