Albanese pitches tourism, sport to China as he seeks to rebuild trust

Shanghai | Anthony Albanese will spruik tourism and sporting ties after arriving in Shanghai for his second official trip to China, hoping to lure thousands of travellers back to Australia, where visitor numbers have rebounded but not returned to levels seen before the pandemic.

The prime minister will preside over a new agreement between Tourism Australia and Trip.com, the world’s largest online travel agency, as he begins his six-day visit to China on Sunday.
