Sydney teal MP Zali Steggall has called on her fellow Climate 200-backed independents to show greater political courage in defence of the troubled offshore wind energy rollout, amid what she said were fossil fuel-led misinformation campaigns.
Steggall, who holds the seat of Warringah on Sydney’s northern beaches, said offshore wind was an opportunity to have electricity generation close to where it was needed, and local leaders needed to step up and support the projects.
