Green policy car crash complicates Labor’s election outlook

A series of competing and interlinked priorities are colliding in Labor’s Senate, where all eyes are turning to the next election.

Despite its limitations, behavioural economics does throw up the odd insight into Canberra political behaviour.

Doing the rounds as parliament chuntered through a listless week, with little to show by way of concrete outcomes, was the concept of cognitive bias that afflicts consumers assigning unwarranted value to things they make themselves.
