By approving a new gas expansion project in Queensland’s Surat Basin, Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek has not just done the right thing by the Australian economy, she’s done the right thing by the climate.

I know the Greens will argue that every new gas project makes the climate crisis worse. They’re wrong. Because sometimes the real world is more complex than a slogan on a pair of dangly earrings.
