‘Duplication, delay, inefficiency’: Labor mulls green fund overhaul

The Albanese government is considering overhauling its suite of multibillion-dollar green finance funds to allow riskier investments in early-stage projects and better facilitate private investment in the energy transition.

The government investment vehicles, which include the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, the National Reconstruction Fund, the Australian Renewable Energy Agency, the Northern Australian Infrastructure Facility and Export Finance Australia, together control more than $60 billion in funds.
