Dependent on an open air waterway, Cobar fights for change

Cobar, a small mining town almost 700 kilometres west of Sydney, is at the mercy of a shallow, human-made waterway called the Albert Priest Channel. The 73 kilometre-long channel begins at Dubbo's drying Burrendong Dam and is the sole source of water for Cobar and several other towns.
