Australia hit hardest by global warming

Australia could be one of the countries hardest hit by global warming at the end of this century, according to the latest projections by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation and Bureau of Meteorology.

Australia could be one of the countries hardest hit by global warming at the end of this century, according to the latest projections by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation and Bureau of Meteorology.

The report, which is the first analysis of its kind since 2007, says a worst case scenario would see Australian average temperatures increase by 5.1 degrees by 2090, slightly more than the rest-of-world average of 4.8 degrees.
