Opposition Leader Bill Shorten will on Thursday release a suite of principles aimed at enshrining a "light touch" approach to technological disruption.

Labor will move to endorse the burgeoning "sharing economy", or the growing wave of game-changing, peer-to-peer, tech-heavy businesses that threaten to topple or even destroy existing business models from taxis to hotels and temp jobs.
