Peter Dutton’s Coalition is plotting to overhaul the federal Treasury if it wins the election, with the position of department boss Steven Kennedy to be reviewed.
Kennedy, a career public servant who was seconded to work for Labor prime ministers Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard during the global financial crisis, has told senior government officials he thinks it is likely he will be replaced if the Coalition wins the election.
