Small business hammered by rising costs

Higher costs for energy, rent, insurance and interest rates are putting small businesses under the most financial pressure in decades, a new report co-authored by Commonwealth Bank of Australia concludes.
Failed small businesses in construction, retail and hospitality made up the majority of the 11,049 insolvencies last financial year, according to Australian Securities and Investments Commission data.
