Regarding Victoria’s economy (“In a state of decline: Victoria’s economic malaise laid bare”), I recently returned to Melbourne by road from NSW.
After crossing the border, the first obvious piece of Victorian infrastructure on the Hume Highway was an overhead speed-measuring gantry, which wasn’t working. The signs before it proclaimed “Out of order”.
