NSW ‘open’ to following Vic’s 7.5pc Airbnb tax

NSW has backed Victoria’s plans for a tax on short-term accommodation, but other states have baulked at backing an Airbnb-type levy as they grapple with the housing crisis.

While the Andrews government housing and planning overhaul has attracted the headlines this week, other states say they have already made inroads to help clear a backlog of housing supply.
