NDIS cost blowout adds to inflation and rates pressure

A blowout in government spending on the $49 billion National Disability Insurance Scheme is adding to inflation and will make it harder for the Reserve Bank of Australia to cut interest rates, new economic analysis warns.
Disability sector-related employment has been responsible for more than one in five new jobs created since February 2020.
