The nation’s miners are preparing to double the level of investment in the sector, and say there are plenty of jobs – but Australians just can’t be lured from the away from the nation’s cities.

The mining sector will invest $83.3 billion next financial year, implying annual growth of about 87 per cent, capital expenditure data from the Australia Bureau of Statistics showed last week.
