How the gas industry lost its way
Gas can only maintain public support as a fuel if some of it is replacing coal here – not overseas.
Colin BarnettColumnistAs someone who has been a supporter of the gas industry over three decades, both in the domestic market and in exported liquified natural gas, I now wonder whether gas is losing its way.
I also wonder if the industry fully understands that the game has changed. Already the public relations battle has been lost with gas now routinely lumped in with coal as a ‘nasty’ fossil fuel.
