Food, car prices lift pace of US inflation to 13-year high

Washington | Consumer prices in the US increased by the most in 13 years in June amid supply constraints and a continued rebound in the costs of travel-related services from pandemic-depressed levels as the economic recovery gathered momentum.

Annual headline inflation hit 5.4 per cent, up from 5 per cent in May, according to data from the US Bureau of Labour Statistics
