The commentary on the new mandatory Australian climate reporting standard AASB S2 misses the point (“Coalition to kill climate reporting”).

Large companies have the resources and the stakeholder interest, and can see the financial and cultural benefits of adopting sustainability practices. They will not support a push to wind back provisions that attempt to make Australia internationally competitive, specifically for finance and capital allocation.
