Treasurer Jim Chalmers has flagged a crackdown on the use of non-compete clauses after a new report showed one in five employers limit their workers from joining competitors or from starting their own business.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics released the figures on Wednesday following the completion of a survey of about 5000 businesses on so-called “restraint clauses”.
