The Coalition has accused Treasurer Jim Chalmers of inflating the government’s finances by between $3 billion and $11 billion, releasing an analysis that argues that the budget is being propped up by “zombie measures” that have little hope of passing parliament.
As Chalmers prepares to hand down Labor’s fourth budget on Tuesday, the opposition has singled out five policies that were stalled in parliament but baked into the government’s budget numbers.
