'Callous indifference', 'just a Liberal': Vic insults get personal
Daniel Andrews is a strong political performer despite his government's many failings in dealing with the coronavirus. So to distract critical attention, he is accusing Josh Frydenberg of playing political games.
It's getting very personal between Josh Frydenberg and Daniel Andrews – deliberately. The Victorian Premier is dismissing the federal Treasurer as “just a Liberal” rather than a leader.
“All he does is play politics, every day, and I just don’t think that is fair and I don't think it's right,” Andrews declared in his daily press performance. “And I think Victorians are sick of it. Victorians want their family protected, they wanted their health issue dealt with so we can open up.”
