'FAANG' stocks or the zombie yield trade?
Patrick ComminsColumnistThis week's UK election is another reminder for investors that the world remains a highly volatile place. At least the political world is. There are no central bank-equivalents to sedate voters into maintaining and extending the status quo. And thank goodness for that.
In retrospect, given all that has transpired over the past year, it was clearly madness to give the British electorate another opportunity to say "stuff you". The fact that they took up that offer can't be a surprise, and yet it still feels like one.
