Tim Worner will stay on as chief executive of Seven West Media despite shares plunging 8 per cent on Monday amid revelations he was involved in a sex scandal with former executive assistant Amber Harrison.

Seven says Ms Harrison's claim contains "wide-ranging inaccuracies and false statements" and a confidential settlement deed entered into more than two years ago with Ms Harrison is binding.
