Federal budget 2018: What the budget means for markets

Bonds are expected to be the marginal winners from the federal budget while this year's spending plan is anticipated to have little immediate impact on the stockmarket or the Australian dollar.
The 2018 budget handed out $140 billion in income tax cuts over the next decade, locked in a surplus within three years and forecast a drastic reduction in debt before 2030.
