Transurban's US boss urges Congress to reconsider asset recycling
Washington | Toll-road operator Transurban Group's North American chief is urging reluctant Democrats to keep an open mind on the use of Australian-style asset recycling and public-private deals to help address a badly backlogged US infrastructure pipeline.
Jennifer Aument, group general manager for North America, has been promoting financing models such as asset recycling, which involves leasing or selling of existing assets by governments to free up capital for new projects.
