Air purifier AFT Corporation has reduced its estimated loss before tax and interest for calendar 2010. The net loss is expected to be $50,000, compared with a previous forecast of $300,000. Due to increased demand, including a recent installation at Sydney Town Hall, revenue for the full year to December 31 is expected to be about $7.2 million, beating half-year estimates of between $5 million and $5.5 million. The better than expected result comes after the company instituted a number of cost savings, including cuts in management salaries. Late last year AFT Corporation announced a successful joint venture bid between its subsidiary Artemis Building Systems and Stowe Australia to design and supply a solar panel system for the town hall.
