Will a 2025 IPO revival save the shrinking ASX?
The number of listings on the Australian Securities Exchange has dropped to the lowest level in almost two decades as companies continue to either abandon or avoid the challenges associated with public ownership.
The number of stocks and funds listed on the exchange stood at just 2116 at the end of December, according to figures provided by the ASX, which is its lowest level since 2006 and 75 less than in 2023.
