ASX to drop, US stocks end lower on late swoon

Shares ended mostly lower in New York after a late swoon, with risks from the failure of Silicon Valley Bank continuing to reverberate through markets. In addition, expectations that the Federal Reserve may end its rate-rising cycle as early as this month after SVB’s failure are in flux.
ASX futures were down 132 points or 1.86% to 6974 near 7.30am AEDT.
