Forget higher rates, UBS says buy consumer stocks

UBS has gone all in on beaten up Australian consumer companies and says investors should be buying up the shares because households will be ramping up spending in the year ahead.
The broker upgraded the consumer discretionary sector to overweight and lifted its rating on the shares of Super Retail and Collins Foods to buy. It also reiterated its bullish case for Telstra.
