Australian shares are poised to open modestly higher, with futures reversing direction, even as Wall Street struggled to push higher. Megacap techs, which have propelled the market’s strong year-to-date advance, pared some of their gains.

Local investors will be paying close attention to Guzman y Gomez which surged 36 per cent to $30 on its first day of trade on Thursday.
