Australian shares are set to open higher as Wall Street recorded its first back-to-back fall in six weeks before staging a turnaround.

Treasury yields topped 4.2 per cent as traders weighed prospects of a slower pace of Federal Reserve rate cuts. Germany’s 10-year bond yield rose to its highest level in almost two months.
