ASX adds 1.1pc: Liontown, Vicinity, CSL soar

ASX advances 1.1pc

Australian shares climbed 1.1 per cent, or 78 points, to 7284.9 on Wednesday, boosted by strong gains from companies that reported this morning.

Liontown Resources led the market, soaring 18 per cent to $1.64 after signing an agreement with Tesla.

Treasury Wines added 11.7 per cent to $11.77, Vicinity Centres firmed 11 per cent to $1.86, CSL rose 8.5 per cent to $263.69, Corporate Travel jumped 7.6 per cent to $24.34 and Orora closed 7.6 per cent higher at $3.56 after reporting their results.

Some of the companies to decline following their result announcements included; Netwealth which fell 9.8 per cent to $13.40, EML Payments 4 per cent to $2.90, Santos 2.8 per cent to $7.19, and Fortescue 2 per cent to $21.15
